WormsRed composting worms are fantastic at transforming your kitchen fruit and vegetable scraps into beautiful, nutrient rich, organic castings. We recommend either the red wiggler (Eisenia fetida), its larger cousin, the European Nightcrawler (Eisenia hortensis) or the African Nightcrawler (Eudrilus eugeniae) for vermicomposting. These worms produce a lot of castings and a lot of cocoons (babies). They are also great for fishing bait as are the Canadian Nightcrawler and the Alabama Jumper. The Alabama Jumpers are the best worms for putting in your soil. Our worms are weighed naked (free of bedding material) and then bedding material is added back in so that the worms can survive their journey to you. |
