Worm BinsOur Gusanito Worm Farm Bins come in the three, four or five tray versions. Extra trays can be purchased to make the bin higher if so desired. The red composting worms, either the red wigglers (Eisenia fetida) the European Nightcrawler (Eisenia hortensis) or the African Nightcrawler (Eudrilus eugeniae) are started in the lowest tray. They work their way upward (hence the name upward migration) and produce nutrient rich, organic castings as they eat through the food provided for them. All of our Worm Farm Bins come with 325 gms. of coconut coir compared to 250 gms. in the old style worm bins. More bedding to start with! |
